ISO9001:2015 – Morgunverðarfundur og vinnustofa
Morgunverðarfundur og hagnýt vinnustofa um breytingar og nýjungar í ISO 9001:2015 staðlinum 23. janúar 2018. Leiðbeinandi var Dr. Nigel Croft.
Fyrir gæðablóðin, staðlaunnendur og alla alvöru stjórnendur!
The new version of ISO 9001, published on September 15 th 2015, is much less prescriptive in nature than its predecessor and focuses more on the outcomes (“WHAT” has to be achieved), rather than specifying prescribed methodologies (“HOW” to do things).
Quality management systems are all too often perceived merely as a way to meet customer requirements, rather than as a means to ensure that the overall organizational culture and strategies are effectively deployed at all levels.

About the Breakfast meeting
Organizational culture and strategies
Quality management systems are all too often perceived merely as a way to meet customer requirements, rather than as a means to ensure that the overall organizational culture and strategies are effectively deployed at all levels.
Much more than consistency
Most people are familiar with the ISO 9001 standard that contains requirements to be met if an organization wishes to demonstrate its ability to “consistently provide conforming products and services”, and the most common way of demonstrating this is by seeking independent third-party certification.
But is that enough for an organization to survive in today’s fast-moving competitive market?
The soon-to- be published revision of the ISO 9004 GUIDANCE standard provides recommendations on how to use the quality management system to the organization’s maximum benefit by:
Balancing the needs and expectations of customers with those of other interested parties (including, for example, shareholders, employees, business partners and others), to ensure long-term sustained success.
From narrow to broad quality approach
This presentation will show how ISO 9004 can help organizations move from a “narrow quality” approach (focusing primarily on product or service quality) to a BROAD quality approach that looks at the various dimensions of quality along the value chain and provides top management with confidence that its strategies are being effectively deployed throughout the organization.

About the Workshop
WHAT rather than HOW
The new version of ISO 9001, published on September 15 th 2015, is much less prescriptive in nature than its predecessor and focuses more on the outcomes (“WHAT” has to be achieved), rather than specifying prescribed methodologies (“HOW” to do things).
New stringent and greater flexibility
The new version of ISO 9001 has introduced several new or more stringent requirements but also allows for greater flexibility in the ways in which its requirements can be met.
This means that in many cases organizations are now obliged to think for themselves, instead of simply following a set of required documented procedures.
The deadline for certified organizations to make the transition from ISO9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 is September 15 th 2018, and this has been widely publicized for several years.
Nevertheless, many organizations are still leaving things until the last minute, thereby placing a significant overload on certification body audit resources for mid-2018.
In an attempt to address this problem, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) has now determined that starting from March 15 th 2018, ALL audits must be conducted to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
This workshop – focus
This interactive workshop will focus on the key changes that organizations will need to address if they are to make the transition successfully.
It will concentrate on the following topics:
- What do we mean by the “Context of the Organization”?
- Who are the “relevant interested parties” and their “relevant needs and expectations”?
- Reinforced requirements for managing the QMS processes
- The new emphasis on leadership at all levels of the organization – what is expected from top management?
- Managing risks and opportunities at the strategic, tactical and operational level
- Managing change
- Environment for the operation of processes in the broader sense
- How to manage organizational knowledge?
- Design and development for products and services – does it apply to my organization??
- How to manage externally provided processes, products and services
- Control of nonconforming outputs
- Improvement methodologies
- Dealing with nonconformities and ensuring appropriate corrective action
